Car history: |
This car was sold to James Raymond on 9/1/1970. It was ordered from Harry Mann Chevrolet in Los Angeles. It spent its entire life in S. California with the original owner until it was traded to Paul Smith Auto. in June,2002. I purchased it from Paul Smith in Feb. 2003. It came with the original California ownership certificate(pink slip) dated 9/1/70 of which I have copies. The title was transferred from James Raymond to me so I am the 2nd owner of the corvette.
350/300hp, casting #39770010, turbo trans., ac (not working), power windows, power brakes, tilt & tele column,AM/FM stereo (not in car but I have it)alarm, posi.
This is a true survivor car. The only rust found was in the windshield posts and I had them repaired and the windshield replaced. The odometer shows 87,191 miles but is not working-neither does the clock. All other gauges work as well as headlights and wipers. It starts great and handles nice. Handling and breaking is very impressive for its age. In it's current condition, it is a driver not a show car. The body is exceptionally straight but the paint has a myriad of small imperfections. It appears to have the original factory paint. The paint looks better in the photo's than it is. A ten foot car I would say. |
